1930's headpieces

Here are some very beautiful headpieces we've been coming across the past few days for inspiration. We're thinking of ways to make our own interesting hair pieces. Anyways, we've been very busy, but soon we'll be designing our second dress. In the meantime, we're practicing some yoga! Oh and we've playing So You Think You Can Dance with Nicholas (Natalia's son). Let us tell you - that game gives you the best workout ;)

Designs!

Molly spent the entire day sketching out designs yesterday! We're working on building up a collection of dresses. We're very excited and we'll continue to post on this blog about every design!

We finished the dress!

Dress continued... but almost done!

Well, here's another update on our first dress! We've been working on it all day! We also decided to add a hair piece to go with it. We decided on something similar to the 1920's/30's accessories with a net, but I'll save the for another post!

On another note, we'll be featuring Bette Davis on our business cards!

New dress - in the process!

This is our first dress, which we've started working on! It's still got a lot of work, but it's headed in the right direction! It's coming out great. We've been listening on up to some Billie Holiday & Nina Simone tunes, while we work on painting and putting the dress together. Everything is complete hand-work and definitely unique. First post!

We'll dedicate this first post to introducing ourselves. Yes, we mean 'WE.' A mother and a daughter. Together we create dresses and other beautiful clothes. Natalia, the mother and the designer with an extensive background in the fashion business, is the one who sews. She's most commonly known as the 'magic fitter,' by customers. Molly, the daughter and the artist, who works in nearly every medium. Currently she's in college majoring in Fine Arts and she paints on fabric.

Together, we create unique clothes, which no one else has and no two are EVER alike! We live and learn and so therefore we know that our place in this world is important. We are striving to bring back business to the individual. Everything we make is made in USA, by hand, & by us. Our fabrics are top-notch - from Europe (United Kingdom, Switzerland, etc.). We just, recently, opened up our etsy account and so far we've posted one dress. Though, we are planning to use this blog to record the process of our future creations. So far, the dress we posted is inspired by Marchesa. Marchesa is an evening and bridal desinger, who is often seen on the red carpet. Marchesa, custom-designed a dress for Coleen McLoughlin, for $100,000! That dress was an inspiration to recreate a similar dress. You can see the posted dress here.
